Buckeye Tree Service — Young Trees Trained Right, Big Trees Kept Safe

Buckeye is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and most of its trees are young. Drive Watson Road or Yuma Road through Sundance, Blue Horizons, or Sienna Hills and you see the same picture on lot after lot: builder-planted palo verdes, mesquites, sissoos, and Mexican fan palms that went in five to fifteen years ago and have never had a proper structural prune. Out in Tartesso and Sun City Festival the homes are newer still. Those trees are at the age where the decisions made now — which limbs stay, how the canopy is thinned, when the stakes finally come off — decide whether they become real shade or a monsoon problem.

Verrado is the exception. Its tree-lined streets below the White Tank Mountains were planted with larger canopy species from the start, and twenty years on, many of them are due for the thinning and clearance work that keeps them off roofs and out of the wind. Rainbow Valley and the acreage south of the Gila River are different again: mature mesquites and native trees on larger lots, often carrying mistletoe.

We are based in Goodyear, about fifteen minutes east on I-10 or MC-85, so Buckeye is a short drive for us.
